All of the information contained in these pages came about through experimentation along with trial and error noting and continuing to use things that worked and refraining from repeating things that did not work.

Modern Cartonage:

The cartonage was developed to fit a need I had for a light weight surface that looked like a rock to be used in my reproductions of cave art.

Hide Glue Primer:

Lately I have been experimenting with hide glue gesso.  So far it has not worked.  It appears that wax and hide glue are as compatible as oil and water, i.e., not at all.
